|El Celler de Can Roca(3 Michelin starred restaurant)||Location||Gerona (also Girona)Restaurant Location: Can Sunyer 48, 17007 Girona +34 972 22 21 5|
|Website URL Link||www.cellercanroca.com|
|Review||Booking procedure: every 1st of each month they take reservations online with 11 months in advance (example, on January 1st you will be able to book table for December 2014)Review: This Catalan family restaurant is now the best restaurant in the world. The Spanish favourite entered the World’s 50 Best list eight years ago and has somewhat stealthily climbed the rankings since. Head chef Joan is alone a cook of the very highest order: he helped pioneer the widespread use of sous-vide cooking in the ’90s via his Roner machine, and is a technical maestro. Josep is the head sommelier who runs the supremely smooth front-of-house operation: understated but passionate. Jordi is the rule-breaking pastry chef whose creations blow the imagination. Eating at El Celler will be a unique experience but you must know they are making reservations with 11 months in advance.|
|Tickets Barcelona(1 Michelin starred restaurant)||Location||BarcelonaAvinguda del Paral.lel, 164 (Barcelona)|
|Cuisine||Modern Spanish Tapas|
|Website URL Link||http://www.ticketsbar.es/web/en/|
|Review||Review: Ferran and Albert Adrià opened Tickets in the space next to 41º, both now owners of 1 Michelin Star 2014. The restaurant, that belongs to the concept of gastrobar -which so many great chefs have joined lately-, is dedicated to contemporary tapas and consists of six mini-spaces, each with a bar behind which the cooks prepare sublime creations. Under the slogan ‘La vida tapa’ (the tapa life), the large windows of the restaurant invite us to stroll through the history of tapas before getting into an informal and colourful space full of light that remind us of a town fair, in which each bar -where the cooks work in front of the customers- offers its own small plates.|

Review: This superlative restaurant, about 9km southwest of San Sebastián, is considered by foodies to be one of the best restaurants in the world. The chef, Martín Berasategui, doesn’t approach cooking in the same way as the rest of us. He approaches it as a science and the results are tastes you never knew existed. Its menu relies heavily on local produce, to which innovative techniques are applied. The dining room has lovely views of the meadows that surround the restaurant. A place of gastronomic pilgrimage for all who wish to discover the Basque culinary revolution.
|Mugaritz(3 Michelin starred restaurant)||Location||Otzazulueta Baserria Altura Aldea 20, Errenteria +34 943 52 24 55|
|Website URL Link||Web site www.mugaritz.com|
|Location||Booking procedure: Until 17th of January, booking petitions only available online. From 17th January, the telephone booking hours are from 10.00 a.m. to 18.00 p.mSeason 2014: Open from April 9th until December 15th. Closed weekly on Sunday evenings, on Mondays all day, and midday on Tuesdays closed.Review: At Mugaritz diners are treated to a multiple-course tasting menu of intricate yet small dishes developed through a creative process and an attention to detail that borders on the obsessive. Chef-patron Andoni Luis Aduriz aims to play with guests and reflect on the different ways a restaurant can have an impact, rather than just filling people up and sending them on their way. From that point of view there is no other place like Mugaritz in the world.|
|Arzak (3 Michelin starred restaurant)||Location||Avenida Alcalde José Elosegui 273 San Sebastián +34 943 27 84 65|
|Cuisine||Spanish Basque, Modern Spanish|
|Website URL Link||Web site www.arzak.es|
|Review||This family-run San Sebastián restaurant has living legend of Basque cuisine Juan Mari Arzak at the helm, alongside daughter Elena Arzak Espina, the World’s Best Female Chef in 2012. The pair tease out the best from local ingredients and food culture by reworking ideas using modern techniques. While rooted in its location and loyal to local bounty, team Arzak isn’t afraid to look further afield for flavours, as its spectacular herb, spice and ingredients room attests.|
|Punto MX||Location||General Pardiñas, 40 b (esquina con Ayala). Madrid. Tel. 91 402 22 26|
|Website URL Link||www.puntomx.es|
|Review||Real Mexican Mexican food restaurant.Almost every plate comes as a “taco”, made with fresh hand made tortillas. Everything is gluten free (except desserts), so it’s a really good option for someone who is not tolerant to gluten. The prices are high, but the food is delicious.
You have vegetarian dishes, meat options and seafood.
Also, the cocktails are excellent.It is not the typical Mexican restaurant where everyone is with a Mexican sombrero & mustache, and the music is loud; no, this is a gourmet restaurant where there is a quiet, nice, environment.
It’s difficult to get a table, so you need to make a 2 week in advance reservation to be sure. There are not to many tables, it’s a small, intimate place.
PD: you should like spicy food to go to this restaurant!
|DiverXo(3 Michelin starred restaurant)||Location||Calle del Pensamiento, 28. Madrid +34 915 70 07 66|
|Website URL Link||www.diverxo.com|
|Review||DiverXO takes a tasting experience to whole new level, making a bold statement with its unusual and so incredibly mind-blowing palette of flavors.
It’s all about surprises, stepping outside of the box, and drawing on canvas, as it says on a small introductory letter you get in the beginning of a 9-course meal.
Stunning taste and beautiful presentation. Every. Single. Dish.
DiverXO delivers its promise to the very last bite. This is one experience you will never forget.
|La Terraza del Casino(2 Michelin starred restaurant)||Location||Alcalá, 15, 28014,Madrid +34 915 21 87 00|
|Website URL Link||www.casinodemadrid.es|
|Review||www.casinodemadrid.es Head chef Paco Roncero is Adrià’s protégé and a world class chef in his own right, who has earned La Terraza two Michelin stars. The innovative and experimental twenty-three-course menu includes the signature dish Kellogg’s paella, which consists of Rice Krispies, shrimp heads and vanilla-flavored mashed potatoes. The avant-garde gastronomy is matched by Jamie Hayón’s sophisticated modern interior, where geometric forms conjure images of precious stones. Amid the cutting edge cuisine and design however, traditional sensibilities survive, and the exclusive private club, Casino de Madrid, has a strict jacket and tie dress code.|
|Sergi Arola Gastro (2 Michelin starred restaurant)||Location||Calle Zurbano, 31, 28010 +34 913 10 21 69|
|Website URL Link||www.sergiarola.es|
|Review||Within three years of opening, the restaurant gained two Michelin stars and the menu changes monthly, with each classical dish specially created by Arola. In addition to the main restaurant there is a private dining room with a capacity for twelve people, and with a direct view of the kitchen, guests have an exclusive insight into the workings of the restaurant. There is a separate entrance and restroom for the utmost privacy and discretion.|
|Viridiana||Location||Juan de Mena, 14 +34 915 31 10 39|
|Website URL Link||www.restauranteviridiana.com|
|Review||You can try another Spanish delicacy here; olive oil. Spain is the world’s largest olive oil producer and Viridiana offers many different types, so ask to test before you buy as, like wine, varieties of oil can be distinguished by their color, flavor and smell. Located between Paseo del Prado and Retiro Park, Viridiana is the ideal place to replenish after a day exploring Madrid’s cultural delights. Viridiana’s catering service provides the same tantalizing cuisine for private dining events.|
